Personality: Xing Hon has a big personality around people that he knows, but those he does not he is often timid and quiet. When he finds himself unable to express himself through words he will express himself through his cooking. He loves his kids and loves to spend time with them, especially cooking together.
History: Xing Hon was born in Republic City, and grew up in a normal family. His mother died when he was young from disease, leaving him to be raised by his father. His father was a factory worker and did not appreciate Xing Hon's obsession with clothes and fancy foods that they could not afford. After school, Xing Hon and his father got into a huge argument over Xing Hon's choices, and he left after the fight. He decided to stay in the city and was discovered by a fashion designer, which kick-started his career as a model. This only lasted for a short time, as his career was ended when a fire started in one of the venues they were holding a photo shoot in. He was trapped under a beam that was on fire until fire crews got him out, resulting in third degree burns on his  left arm, shoulder and upper back. When they had healed the scars were unsightly and turned many people hiring models away. In desperate need for money, Xing Hon found a job at a local restaurant as a server. 

While working at the restaurant, he saw someone he knew from many magazine covers as another model at one of the tables he was serving, Mura Beifong. When he started serving the table he asked if she was who he thought and began talking until his boss yelled at him for not doing his job. At the end of the night he asked her if she would like to meet with him after dinner service ended, to which she slowly agreed. They met outside the restaurant and they strolled through Republic City Park talking about their past. Both learned that the other had thought that their career as models was over, but Xing Hon suggested that Mura could use make up to cover her scars that would allow her to continue. Mura suggested he could do the same, but Xing Hon told her that he had moved on and was aspiring to become a chef. 

They continued dating and Xing Hon pushed his way into his restaurant's kitchen, learning how to cook more than he had before. Soon Xing Hon proposed to Mura and she, to his amazement, agreed. Later he found the funds to open his own restaurant, and with him working in the restaurant and her modeling, they were both living their dreams together.
