Personality: When he first joined society Rae was a partier, liked to drink, do drugs and have sex, but now he is a family man who has a successful practice based off his party-goer ways. He is very generous and tries to repay the wrong he did early in life with helping the world now.
History: Rae was born in the Purple Shadows as the crown prince of the shadow throne, after his older siblings had left. His father wanted to make sure that Rae would not leave, so he raised him side by side with his dragon Nera, and Rae became more dragon like in personality than human. He grew up in a cave with no light, which resulted in him becoming blind since he had never seen light before, but through a connection with Nera he was able to see through her eyes, which allowed him to see temperatures.

As a teenager, Rae's father Lord Zhu began to use him as a weapon. He was taught to rape women to make them listen and to kill anyone who stood in his way. But like most teenagers, Rae would sneak out and fly on Nera to go to different parts of the world to not only wreak havik but to party. On one of his trips to the Fire Nation he met a girl named Nerina, and using his charm and persuasion skills he mated with her before they were able to start talking. Once Nerina learned more about Rae, she wanted to introduce him to his siblings who were staying at the Fire Nation palace at that time, he went but running into his older brother who he had tried to kill before a fight ensued, and Rae was arrested. Before judgement could be placed on him for being a purple shadow Nerina broke him out of prison and they went to a local party. After the party disbanded they were very drunk and made their way back to Nerina's room and stayed together. Nerina's father found them in the morning but before Rae could be caught he snuck out the window and flew off.

Rae didn't see Nerina until three months after that night. He asked her to become his mate (not understanding the notion of what marriage was) and she didn't answer him, so he left. The next morning he found her, and explained that he would never leave her, which is what she was afraid of all along, and she agreed to marry him. Not long after Rae's father found the two of them and took them back to the purple shadow's hideout, where Rae put up the rouse that he was only in the Fire Nation to find a mate and that he had chosen Nerina. With this his father forced them to get married and they were forced to wait until they were able to escape to leave. After they escaped from the Purple Shadows, Rae burned off his tattoo and swore he would not be affiliated with them.

Not much later they got married in a real wedding and not soon after Nerina became pregnant. Due to a long history of drinking and doing drugs, she died during childbirth due to liver failure. Rae was lost, not knowing what to do until her family explained how to bring her back to life. He did, and shortly after he began to brew his own Fire Whiskeys, which became widely popular in the Fire Nation. With the profits he opened his own bar and trained his bartenders to perform like dragons. With the funds from this, he was able to get the surgery he needed to regain his eyesight.

His company has become a multi-million yuan company over the years and Rae makes sure that his family is taken care of, and that his employees are as well. He sells his Fire Whiskeys and Soda's to resturaunts to be sold. With his extra money, he donates it to the Firelord's project to remove black markets from the Fire Nation in hopes of ending the slave trade and the black market dragon egg sales, and also donates money and goods to orphanages to help children to not become what he did.
